Governance
The OpenEAC Alliance develops and maintains open-source, transparent and scientifically rigorous methodologies for evaluating distributed energy resources, to support the creation and verification of Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs). Its principles are transparency, inclusiveness and accountability.
How the Alliance is organized
- Steering Committee, responsible for strategic oversight: Stephen Suffian and McGee Young (chair).
- Working groups develop specific methodologies.
- Advisory Board of experts from several sectors.
Decisions
The Alliance decides one kind of question: whether a methodology is approved, through the five steps on the Methodologies page.
Charter adopted 18 July 2024, at the Alliance’s second meeting. Contact: mcgee@wattcarbon.com.
